In short, we collect two types of data. The first is the basic data (A) required to allow the site to function securely, and to help us improve our service over time. The second is the personal data (B) required by us to process an order, to maintain contact during the shipping & subsequent support/updates of the product, or reply to an enquiry. Depending on your use of our site, we may collect some or all of the following data:

1.1 Your name.

1.2 Your business/company name.

1.3 Your job title/profession.

1.4 Contact information such as email addresses and telephone numbers.

1.5 Demographic information such as address & postcode.

1.6 IP address (automatically collected).

1.7 Web browser type and version (automatically collected).

1.8 Operating system (automatically collected).

1.9 A list of URLs starting with a referring site, your activity on Our Site, and the site you exit to (automatically collected).

The basic data (A) is collected automatically by our site (see section 05 on use of Cookies), and is common practice online. The personal data (B) is voluntarily submitted by you via our payment portal and/or our contact form. In both cases, by completing the order/contact form, and/or using our site, you are consenting to our need to store that information for the purposes set out in section 01. If you ever change your mind, you can contact us via section 7.0 below.

thecultureoftheheart.com is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with a highly-secure online store, allowing us to make our products available worldwide. Your data will be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store all your data on secure servers behind a firewall. If we ever need to remove your data, this offers us a single point of contact to ensure that it is done quickly and efficiently.

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com (and therefore used by our company) adhere to the standards set by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) for the processing of online payments (including payment details). PCI-DSS is managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

We do not share your contact details with anyone (so no third-party mailouts). However, as a natural part of the hosting process, some of the tracking data is accessible to the people at Wix.com (functionality) and, depending on your browser settings, other organisations such as Google (general browsing info). In certain circumstances, we may be legally required to share certain data held by us, which may include your personal information (for example; where we are involved in legal proceedings, or under the requirements of legislation, a court order, or a governmental authority). We do not require any further consent from you in order to share your data in such circumstances and will comply as required by any legally binding request that is made of us.

We may need to contact you regarding your order (mainly to clarify delivery details, shipping information, or stock changes). If we need to contact you we will generally do so via email (which is our main point of communication), by telephone or postal mail. This is information you will have given us when either ordering a product from the site (allowing us to ship it to you), or via our contact form. On occasion, we may be in touch to notify you of significant changes to this policy, changes to our website or product changes. Details of how to remove this information from our records is listed in section 7.0 below.
